Day at the Park

Recently we took Vallon to play at the park and they also had a water feature there to cool off with. He had a blast. Here is one photo I took that day.

This one I opened in Pic Monkey.
I lighted, brightened and cropped the image.
I used the Airbrush feature over the entire image to reduce any noise.
Lastly used the Effects, choose Yester-color, and that's it!

Rose Edit

This is my SOOC

And this is my edit.
Although I love the way this looks, this edit really was suppose to have more to it. I was following along to the Tuesday Tutorial that Sarah and Ashley have. I discovered I have a really hard time with brushes! I was going to read on this and finish, which I will, but I do honestly like this look.

Egrets Tones and Textures

Today I found myself playing around with this photo of an egret I took recently. I love this bird  and the photo I took, he was just so still taking in his moment.

For this first one I really just lightened and gave a little contrast, then cropped the photo.

This one I changed to Black and White, cropped and lightened a bit.
For this one I added a vintage feel and lomo, I like this one.

And lastly for this one I cloned out the background to give more of the bayou feel and added a texture from A Rural Journal called Victoria, @ 88% Soft Light.

The Mysterious Lizard

After uploading image
I lightened in Picasa, added contrast and warmed the image.
Watermarked and saved.

We have a ton of these lizard's around our house and I have no idea what they are called. I have never seen them before this Spring.

The Elusive Woodpecker

A friend or foe?
I love birds and I LOVE woodpeckers, they are stunning to look at! But to captured with my camera has been a difficult experience for me for awhile. While this isn't the best shot it could be, it's the best I have done thus far.

I warmed the image first in Piacasa
Cropped
Opened in PSE10
Added LNR texture Spring Song 100% Overlay

Now I love it!

From Above

I love taking pictures of feet, well children's feet that is! All my little daycare kids' feet and my grandson's are in there somewhere.

I liked this in Sepia much better than color, and that's all that I did to this photo.

Tuesday Tips & Pics

Live, Love, Travel

I don't really know if I'm the right person to give tips and how to's.
I wanted a picture of my daughter and her friend for my 366 Project, and we took the photo indoors. Which right there can be a bad idea for me, the lighting in my house is poor, so my photos indoor rarely come out well.

Here's what I took Sooc:

See how bad this looks, and the noise in the photo. I tried to work with it in PSE and nothing.

So  what I usually do when I have a lighting problem is change the photo to b&w. I cropped this image, added softness in Picasa and adjusted the shadow slider. I liked this much better and I will use this for my project.

ISO 3200  1/60s  f/5.0 39mm

Any tips are welcome.
